Online values do not tally with those in the Guide
23/06/2008
You valued my golf at £7,230 in excellent condition for trade in.
Today a reputable VW dealer confirmed it as being in excellent condition but showed my his guide which said £6,600. He said he pays hundreds of pounds for regular updates and said that if your online service was accurate he could save this money. At the very least i was made to look foolish in hoping to achieve such a price not to mention you have charged me £3.50 for the pleasure.
Is there any link between his prices and and the one you supplied? And, if he is correct should I have saved my money and time?

Are your sample certificates accurate?

I looked at the sample valuation certificate for a valuation I wanted for a 2003(52) Ford Fiesta Finesse 1.3 3dr. The certificate stated the the car had air conditioning and automatic dipping rear view mirror, these items are not fitted as standard to this base spec model. It does not include a CD player, which is standard. Is this sample certificate the actual certificate except for the prices as it appears to be inaccurate?
Which options 'belong' to which packs?

Hi,
I Am trying to get a value for my car (Saab 9-5 Linear Estate) but am having problems with the options. I do not know if my options like Sat Nav and CD multi-changer 'belong' to a specific pack. Full option list is in car satellite navigation, 6CD changer, electric windows, roofrails, auto dual climate control. The car has covered 69k miles, has full service histort and extended manufacturer's warranty but has a minor scuff on the front bumper. Please advise.

Help with high mileage valuation
28/05/2008
I used your site to do a valuation on my Mercedes, the prices given were as follows:
TRADE IN - EXCELLENT £8,810
TRADE IN - AVERAGE £8,010
TRADE IN - BELOW AVERAGE £7,070
My question is as I have 176,000 miles on the clock and your site would only allow me to put in 150,000 how much less would the valuation be? Is there a set amount of money per mile or would it not make any difference? Thank you
