
What's New in Glassmatix
August 2010
- Trailers Added to GlassMatix
The range of vehicle types in Glassmatix has been extended to include a range of trailers to suit the needs for collision estimation and repair. The range include a series of body specific trailer types as follows... Box Body, Flatbed, Horsebox, Livestock Body and Tipper.
Each trailer type will include body specific graphics with clickable hot spot sections for fast and easy assessment entry, detail graphics for identification and standard repair lines. Each trailer can be accessed through the vehicle type menu on the vehicle selection screen in PartBase.
- Glassmatix Ireland Changes
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR IRELAND ASSESSORS AND ESTIMATORS
The "Wash" operation in the Reference Sheet has be changed to default to labour hours (time) entry rather than cost. If the operation is charged by cost it can be entered by clicking in the "Cost" field.
June 2010
- Renault Part Prices Added to GlassMatix Ireland.
Part prices for Renault Ireland have been added to Glassmatix for the 1st June 2010 release. This extends the numbers of manufacturers with market specific parts prices in GlassMatix Ireland to 28.
- Signwriting and Graphics Section.
A new section has been added GlassMatix for signwriting and graphics. The section includes the following new and existing operations… Badge/Emblem Removal, Decal Removal, Signwriting / Graphics and Stripe. All operations in this section can be entered either as labour times or as costs.
April 2010
- Volkswagen Group Part Prices Added to GlassMatix Ireland.
Part prices for the Volkswagen group, including; Volkswagen Passenger Cars, Volkswagen Light Commercial Vehicles, Audi, Skoda and Seat have been added to Glassmatix with the April 2010 release.
This extends the numbers of manufacturers with market specific parts prices in GlassMatix Ireland to 27.

- New Reports for Independent Engineers and Assessors
The new reports include… Engineers Report-Repairable, Engineers Report-Total Loss, Inspection Fee Note, Repairer Authorisation Letter.
Each document is presented in a report style layout and contains insurance and assessment details, impact and damage information with automatic warnings, easy to read repair method, summary and total repair cost, glass’s guide vehicle valuation and assessment derived and engineers specific text.

- Motorcycle Estimating in GlassMatix
A range of motorcycles has been added to GlassMatix in the September 2009 release. The coverage includes a range of motorcycles and scooters. Each motorcycle can be identified using the GlassMatix VRM lookup, or by selecting it in PartBase.
The motorcycles are categorised into a series of class types as follows…Trail, Enduro, Traditional, Super-sports, Custom, Adventure Sport and Scooter.
Repair items are selected by graphical and text selections as with cars, click any item to select. Each section will contain the main components and details of smaller items. For example, the Screen/Fairing section contains the sub components of the fairing.
GlassMatix will calculate the repair cost - including labour costs and overlap reduction for shared operations. Part prices can be added. The final calculated repair costs are divided into parts, labour and additional costs where applicable.
Accurate Total Loss or Repair identification is made easier using Glass's Guide Evaluator Motorcycle values. The user is prompted when the configurable PAV threshold % values are exceeded. - Total Loss statistics have been added the MI Summary Report. The statistics include the number of total losses and the labour cost if included.
